Taste Whangārei Multicultural Food Fair
We were excited to be part of the very first food fair for International Day of Race Relations in March, 2024. We brought together a wonderful selection of food vendors offering a wide range of flavours from all over the world.
It was wonderful to collaborate with several community organisations and the WDC Events team to bring the city centre alive with an evening of music, dance a delicious foods.
Tuia 250
Tuia – Encounters 250 was a commemoration in 2019 marking 250 years since the first onshore encounters between Māori and Pākehā in 1769. Tuia 250 celebrated Aotearoa New Zealand’s Pacific voyaging heritage and was a national opportunity to hold honest conversations about the past, the present and how we navigate our shared future.
Our participation, although small, was to bring together a range of food vendors to feed the crowd at the Hihiaua Reserve in Whangārei

The Market Ladies worked alongside the Venues and Events team at Semenoff Stadium to present the Canopy Night Market food vendors to feed the hungry masses at this very popular event.
